Hoops for Hope

A charitable organization established by a member of Alex's Army, Luke Horton, with the explicit mission of raising money to fight the cancer that took his good friend Alex Kintz.  Cancer kills and we want to stop it.  In 2009, at age 14, during our eighth grade year, Alex Kintz, passed away after a knock out fight with cancer.  Alex loved basketball and is shown here attending the very first Hoops for Hope 3 on 3 basketball tournament.

Alex Kintz at Hoops for Hope I, May 2008, age 13Hoops for hope is going on its fifth year of existance and is growing every year. In 2012 we had over 100 participants from all four grades of 3 different high schools and we dont plan on slowing down anytime soon. Again, in 2012 we raised a orgonizational record of just under $5,000. In the coming year we hope to double that with the addition of inviting coorperate sponsorship to purchase advertizing space on the back of our T-shirts. Again please click the Link below to donate to this GREAT cause. And if you have any questions or comments please feel free to contact organizational president, Luke Horton at or by calling his cell at 630-862-8862.
